Well, primary season [has] heated up. For the Democrats, it’s a choice between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. I want my vote to go the person I believe should be the next president.
Hillary Clinton is sharp, bright and forceful in the way she presents her ideas. Aggressive, even. Is this what we want? After seven (to be eight) years of George Bush’s demagoguery? Hillary Clinton wants to be president because the presidency brings power, prestige and lots of influence. I have no doubt that some of that would be used for good. But her stance is that of a combatant. She’s seems to be always at war, especially with those who disagree with her beliefs.
Barack Obama, on the other hand, is a man of great intelligence, love and understanding. He is extremely capable. In Hillary’s speeches the word “I” appears numerous times. With Barack Obama you hear “we,” “our,” “you,” “your.” He is a man whose true purpose is to unite diverse peoples and show how we can work together to solve problems. He doesn’t put himself forth as the problem solver. He knows how to listen and bring together a variety of voices so all can be heard [and] can arrive at a solution together. He’s done this before (when he was in the Chicago legislature and in the U.S. Senate, as well). He will be a great president, a great leader, a powerful force for positive movement forward for this country and for the world.
I have felt from the first time I heard him speak at the 2004 Democratic convention, and certainly through his books, that he is a truly spiritual being who has come to assist the transformation into a “New Age of Light and Love.”
Let’s get him in a position where he can do the most good!
