I was reading about [Rep. Health] Shuler and [Republican candidate] Jeff Miller in the Xpress [”Election,” Oct. 27]. You ask about the economy, [U.S.] troops, jobs [in your candidate survey] — but not about the disabled or social security. Why?
I’m on disability. We need to know what [candidates] would do if they were elected.
Please address … funding for people with mild-severe mental retardation and down-syndrome.
What do they do? They need funding too.
