In a recount for a gap of 10,000 votes or less, it is not enough to run ballots through tabulator machines. A hand recount with voter verification needs to be done.
With this unusual high-absentee ballot election and with large opportunities for fraud — every effort must be made to assure voters of election integrity.
The N.C. State Board of Elections was in no hurry to get in the votes — an extra nine days were allocated. (Where have those ballots been for over a week?) Now, there should not be a hurry to cut corners with ballot/voter verification.

Editor’s note: The State Board of Elections voted Nov. 24 to certify the state’s general election results, except for five races in which there are pending protests.

This feels like a solution in search of a problem – you failed to articulate what the problem even was and why we need a hand recount with no optical scanning machines to count votes…
Any chance to lob the word “fraud” around…
the election was commandeered by the evil democrackkks when AG Bill Barr refused to bar them from sending out millions of unsolicited ballots, some receiving multiple ballots…he’s part of the problem too.
I believe Biden won fair and square BUT I have serious doubts that the citizens of this state would actually vote for Thom Tillis again. His used car salesman smirk and insistence on repeatedly dodging real issues is not the worst thing about him. Ditto for SC and Graham, as well as Kentucky and McConnell. Voter fraud is real and you can look straight to the Republican party on how to do it right. Evil reigns…it’s called the GOP.
