Madison Cawthorn has chosen to make intolerance and polarization a cornerstone of his campaign. He is apparently embracing Trump’s countless lies and distortions, and like his mentor, he demeans Democrats and the social programs that millions rely on.
This divisiveness is not what the country needs, particularly from an upstart ideologue like Mr. Cawthorn. The country is reeling from four years of extremism — attacks on Social Security, health care, democratic checks and balances, the free press, the right of free speech, environmental protections, public education and now disabling the postal system to sabotage the vote. America is being decimated by a dishonest president with a GOP in lockstep, showing indifference to and mismanagement of the worst pandemic and economic collapse the world has faced in recent times — a pathetic response they claim no responsibility for.
We do not need another extreme-right politician to further these misguided policies. We need to move the needle back from the extreme to the moderate. Democracy will only function when both parties respect and listen to the other’s view and work with each other. Moe Davis has demonstrated this quality over his years of service. He will represent the people, not just the party.

Make being a representative for WNC boring again. At least, make it so that we’re not dealing with someone who spends more time on TV than in the district.
All the forecasters say it’s very unlikely overall control of the House will change. If you lend Davis your vote this time round, you’ll have someone sitting on the relevant committees with a chance to affect legislation, and in 2022 you can reassess.
Moe Davis is the intolerable one, like all heinous democrackkks .. . Cawthorn is the breath of fresh aire and Constitutional rule of LAW . Moe doesn’t like the rule of law …. Let’s give the young guy a great chance to prove himself! Moe is angry and unpleasant…he had a bad time in the military and he wants to get revenge for something …and those tweets…OMG…just over the top angry BS…
Apparently no one is qualified to be elected to City Council, but a 25-year-old college dropout is sufficiently qualified to have his first full-time job be as a member of Congress.
This is just unserious blabber. You wouldn’t hire him to “prove himself” answering the phones and filing paperwork. You’d look less ridiculous if you painted yourself blue and hula-hooped naked in Pritchard Park.
If you go to the barber to get your hair cut, are you going to say, “Give me the inexperienced barber. Let’s give them a chance to prove themselves”?
And should we do the same for our representative in Congress?

Seems like if Davis’ legitimate moral outrage expressed in figurative language through his personal twitter feed long before becoming a candidate lost you, you were never really found.
