What is the sense of stores stating they require patrons to wear masks when they do not enforce it?
I’ve seen customers walk into The Home Depot and Ingles, to name two examples of many, with no mask on, walk around, check out and exit with not one employee or manager saying anything to them.
Don’t post the sign stating it’s required if you have no intention of enforcing it!

Quietly leave the store without making your purchase and then contact both the local store and the corporate office and tell them they’ve lost your business for the foreseeable future. I got a lot of response from the corporate office when I did this with a local chain retailer and do believe that the “power of the purse” could affect some change if enough people did this and stuck to it.
They’re probably worried about some covidiot getting violent if they’re required to do the right thing. There’s plenty of people spreading misinformation around here *cough-cough* C-Law! *cough* about masks…
Everyone and their brother has contacted the Ingles corporate office regarding lack of enforcement and they simply will not enforce. Just shop somewhere else. Many people will not ever be returning to Ingles. Harris Teeter and Publix are nicer anyway.
