Changes in the city’s rules have left the city of Asheville’s Planning and Zoning Commission with more power over development than ever before. Because of that, City Council will hold interviews with nine candidates in City Hall on Aug. 23, looking to fill three open seats. Xpress is inviting readers to look at their applications and let us know your top pick.
Our online poll, along with the applications is here.

Yoo hoo, your poll’s been hacked. You might consider pulling it.
By who, and how do you know?
Why are we limited to one vote if there are three choices to be made??????
So sad that “Communities and residents deciding for themselves what should be built in their neighborhoods” isn’t on the ballot
I love how the question about growth and development presupposes that we should have both. Ahhhh, I am so overwhelmed with options in our democracy.
