What’s the state of the Old North State in the midst of enormous budget deficits, high unemployment and weak job production? Gov. Bev Perdue addresses a joint session of the N.C. House and Senate — and the N.C. public — tonight at 7 p.m. with her position on that question. Senate leader Phil Berger will present a Republican response immediately following the governor’s speech.
The State of the State address will be broadcast live by UNC-TV (local cable channel 8) at 7 p.m. and via online radio beginning at 7:10 p.m. on Raleigh’s WPTF.com.
