UNC-Asheville took a spot in the top 100 “best values” list for colleges and public universities, released annually by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
UNCA ranked 40th in the list, with annual tuition and fees totaling $4,007. According to a release from Gov. Mike Easley‘s office, Kiplinger’s makes the judgements by comparing cost with the educational quality offered.
It isn’t the only North Carolina school to make it into the list: UNC-Chapel Hill topped the rankings for the seventh consecutive year, while Appalachian State University came in 27th, UNC-Wilmington ranked 36th and UNC-Greensboro 68th.
