Oh say, can you sing? The Asheville Tourists are hosting open tryouts for National Anthem singers for the upcoming season on Saturday, March 29.
Anyone and everyone can attend, and last year’s tryout saw between 40 and 60 people of all ages and singing backgrounds turn out, says Marketing and Merchandise Manager Jodee Ciszewski. All necessary equipment will be provided: You only have to bring your voice (though it doesn’t hurt to revisit the words).
Singers will appear before a panel of judges, and those who make the cut can pick dates for opening the games.
Auditions will be held at McCormick Field on Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call 258-0428.
