The city of Asheville has launched its slick new web site. We’ve only just begun to explore the new format, which replaces the notoriously hard-to-navigate previous site, but so far it looks pretty good.
New features include news and events postings on the front page and a “How Do I?” section that gives user friendly advice — from navigating the site to reporting a pothole.
Also, check out the “Action Agendas” under the City Council heading, which list the vote tallies on each item from City Council meetings.
None of this, of course, may save the site from the drubbing typically meted out by our local online-community commentators. Look for their reactions below.
