Snow amounts varied widely across Western North Carolina, according to CoCoRaHS (the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network — a “nonprofit, community-based network of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds working together to measure and map precipitation — rain, hail and snow.” In Buncombe County, some locations recorded 11 inches of snow, others just 6.
