Seeing the glass half full

The online brew forum RateBeer has announced the award-winners in its “RateBeer Best 2008” contest, and a little town called “Asheville” did very, very well.

Under the best beer retailers category, newcomer Bruisin’ Ales took second overall, while Greenlife Grocery came in 50th.

In the best beer restaurants category, Barley’s Taproom took fifth, while Mellow Mushroom came in at 15th.

The contest is independent and reader-driven, according to the site.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we really need to visit the restroom.
