Need a reason to vote?

Early voting is underway, and if you’re looking for a reason to get out and cast a ballot, here are a few suggestions.

This week, Mountain Xpress hit the streets and asked folks what issues were driving them to vote this year.

Taking the concept a step further, a new blog, Speak Hear Now, features a post by folks who wandered Asheville asking people why it’s important to vote. The result is this video by Sarah Brown and D Smith and starring … you.

Early voting begins today and runs through Nov. 1. For details on how to participate in early voting, go to Buncombe County’s Election Services Web site.
