The Democratic National Convention is happening this week, Sept. 4-6, in Charlotte, N.C., where hundreds of Buncombe County residents are joining thousands of people from across the country to rally in support of President Barack Obama. Thousands of journalists, lobbyists, protestors and others are also descending on North Carolina’s biggest city, which lies about a two hour drive southwest of Asheville. This post features an aggregated Twitter feed of locals’ dispatches from and about the convention using the hashtag, #avldnc.
