The Lazy Environmentalist — aka Josh Dorfman — put Asheville in the “sustainability spotlight” with an hour-long program yesterday on the Sirius Satellite Radio network.
In it, Dorfman — who’s reading from his new book at Malaprop’s tonight (Weds., May 30) at 7 p.m. — spoke to local green luminaries including Brian Sonoskus, executive chef at Tupelo Honey Café; Brian Winslett, a staff and board member of Blue Ridge Biofuels; and Xpress’ own Rebecca Bowe, who writes our “Green Scene” feature each week.
A summary of the episode, which covered topics ranging from Appalachian Offsets to the WNC Green Building Council to the region’s burgeoning biodiesel scene, says that Asheville “is getting it right with eco-solutions.”
