Digging out: Snow totals around WNC

Now that the skies have cleared, it seems safe to tally the official snow totals left in the wake of last weekend’s history-making storm. With a total of 10 inches of snow, Asheville broke its 1969 Christmas Day record of 9.4 inches.

Here’s a look at some of the snow totals from around Western North Carolina (Saturday through Monday morning), as compiled by Rays Weather Center:
