A request by the Sheriff’s Office for more deputies and the building of an animal shelter lead the Buncombe County Commissioners’ agenda for the Jan. 8 meeting.
The commissioners will also take up a tax-financing district deal geared toward promoting Woodfin’s growth, a smattering of rezonings and appointments to several boards, including the Tourism Development Authority and the Weaverville Board of Adjustment.
The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. in room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. Public comment will be heard at 4 p.m. before the meeting.
