Buncombe County Commissioners preview: May 20 meeting

The Buncombe County Board of Commissioners is set to review the recommended budget for the upcoming year. The tax rate is expected to stay the same.

And with budget time comes the city and county school systems’ requests for funds, which are also on the agenda.

Also presented will be a plan to preserve farmland throughout the county.

The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, in room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. A pre-meeting, including public comment, begins at 4 p.m.
