It’s rezoning time again at the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners, as the board’s first meeting in nearly a month sees three rezoning requests on the agenda.
The owners of two properties near Buckeye Cove are separately requesting a rezoning from residential to commercial and employment designations, respectively, while M Realty on Airport Road is requesting a rezoning from residential to employment as well.
Also on the agenda: considering the county’s policies on hosting regional initiatives and appointing 12 people to the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee (which has 13 vacancies).
Starting at 2:30 p.m., before the meeting, the board will interview some of the applicants for spots on the Buncombe County Planning Board.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, in room 204 of the Buncombe County Courthouse. A pre-meeting, including public comment, begins at 4 p.m.
