Tonight’s Asheville City Council meeting agenda doesn’t promise any particularly contentious public hearings, but a bevy of reports on the state of the city.
There are eight reports on the agenda, covering everything from the transiting marketing plan update to the Eblen charities toy run to five quarterly reports. The most major of those, the financial report, shows that city’s overall budget situation continues to tread water, with revenues slightly lower than expected.
Council will also receive an update on the Scenic NC lawsuit against state legislation allowing more clear-cutting around billboards and hold a public hearing on changing the threshold for design in the River Arts District.
Asheville City Council’s meeting begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 on the second floor of City Hall.
