In its cramped May 15 agenda, Asheville City Council will get its annual report on public transit in the city, and will adopt a resolution signaling its intent to annex several areas, including Biltmore Lake.
Other matters of interest include the formal acceptance of $5.25 million in grant monies from the state to address flood issues and several conditional zoning and use permits, including a conditional-use permit for a planned 103-unit development at Biltmore Lake. Council also is expected to initially approve the lease-purchase agreement and payment for Overlook Park and to receive an update on the Civic Center Event Management Plan.
Council meets at 5 p.m. in its chambers, located on the second floor of City Hall. There will be a public-comment period following the meeting for those who wish to speak and address general issues not already covered in the formal meeting.
