When it comes to city government, there are plenty of people who call for things like “correcting mistakes,” and at its Tuesday, July 22, meeting, Asheville City Council aims to please on that front … at least as it pertains to the city’s sign regulations. On the agenda is the public hearing and consideration of an amendment “filling in missing information, correcting mistakes, resolving discrepancies and clarifying the [development] ordinance as it relates to sign regulations.”
And that’s not the only planned revisiting of city code. Council will also consider allowances for expansion of existing or planned gated communities.
Council may also approve a contract to install a “green roof” on the Asheville Civic Center, and staff wants more instruction on the RFQ process for two city-owned properties, including the Eagle/Market streets site.
For the complete agenda, go here. City Council will at 5 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall.
