If you are a smoker, a vandal or just a nuisance, you will be a topic of Tuesday’s Council meeting.
Asheville City Council plans to revisit several nagging downtown issues at its Aug. 11 meeting, resuming discussion of a nuisance court, hearing new angles on graffiti removal and even considering banning smoking in city parks or public places. The last is made possible by new state legislation granting municipalities more latitude in restricting smoking.
Council will also consider endorsement of a national flag honoring members of the armed forces who died in wartime and resume the process of appointing a new board member to the URTV Board of Directors.
Council meets at 5 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall. Click here for the complete agenda.
