The Asheville Police Department is seeking information on the neglect of three pitbull puppies found in a remote area of Pisgah View Apartments.

ASHEVILLE – The APD Animal Services Unit is seeking information about the individual(s) responsible for the neglect of three puppies that were found June 10 in a remote area of Pisgah View Apartments.
Asheville police officers working in the complex that evening discovered three underweight pit bull puppies in a wooded area off of Cordova Street.
Two of the puppies were tethered on short leashes and one was locked in a small cage. There was no food or water, and the dogs were very malnourished and dehydrated.
The puppies were taken to the Asheville Humane Society.
Anyone with information about who is responsible for the puppies is asked to call police at (828) 252-1110 to speak with an Animal Services officer.
All three puppies are affectionate and outgoing and may be available for adoption as soon as Monday.
