The search for an Asheville man suspected of breaking into and vandalizing the Haywood Park offices and the Flat Iron building ended this morning, when Asheville Police Department officers arrested William Clifton Lamm, 35, for the crimes.
Yesterday, police identified Lamm as the man captured in a surveillance video of the June 16 break-ins. Multiple businesses on the third floor of the Haywood Park building had their windows smashed and change stolen. Lamm also faces charges for an earlier break-in at the Flat Iron building. Officers apprehended him at 10 a.m. this morning in downtown; he’s currently in jail on a $13,500 bond.
