A community workshop on housing — “Reaching Out in Our Diversity” — will happen Thursday, April 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Great Smokies Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort.
Presented by the Asheville-Buncombe Community Relations Council, the workshop will focus on how outreach efforts are dealing with and meeting the needs of the Hispanic community.
Speakers will include Michael Godwin of the Asheville Housing Authority, Debra Goodman of Woodbridge Apartments, Geraldine Melendez of the Affordable Housing Coalition and Lupe Perez of Neighborhood Housing Services. Stella Adams of the N.C. Fair Housing Center will speak at lunch.
The deadline to register is Friday, March 28. The cost (including lunch) is $10.
