Spaceman Jones and The Motherships — the collaboration of local hip-hop artist Davaion Bristol, aka Spaceman Jones, and Cliff B. Worsham of electro-soul outfit RBTS WIN — are prolific. In just over a year the duo has released two EPs and a number of videos, including this recent offering.
For the “Alabaster” video, says Worsham, “we were going for tasteful movement. We wanted a video that bubbles darkly and tells the story of someone who is striving for a different life. A better life.” The film was shot by Erick Lottary, aka ShotXLott, and the song was recorded by RBTS WIN and mastered by Justin Aswell.
