Country musicians Caleb Klauder and Reeb Willms met in 2009 at the National Old-Time Fiddle Contest in Weiser, Idaho. According to a press release, they’re now “the new power couple in roots country music, following in a long tradition of country duos.”
Klauder and Willms, based in Portland, lead a full band. “On their new album, Innocent Road, they navigate six original and eight rare country songs with the kind of easy authenticity that comes from deep immersion in the tradition,” says a press release. Currently on tour for that release, the duo performs at The Mothlight on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.m. $10 advance/$12 day of show.
