With their sophomore record Old News recently released, The Steel Woods have found their place among the best Southern rock bands today. They’ve sold out shows all across the country and their audience continues to grow.
The band has local ties with Asheville native Jason “Rowdy” Cope on lead guitar. He’s built his name over the last decade playing for Jamey Johnson, Lindi Ortega and now The Steel Woods.
Ahead of a recent sold out show at The Grey Eagle, the band gave a very special performance on its tour bus for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville. It was produced with assistance from John Zara and Eleanor Underhill.
