Acoustic Asheville: Tellico

If “organic Appalachiacana” isn’t an actual genre, it should be. That’s how local quartet Tellico (Anya Hinkle, Stig Stiglets, Aaron Balance and Jed Willis) describe its roots-influenced sound. The group formed earlier this year (its members come from Dehlia Low, Town Mountain and Wooden Toothe), and has already been gaining fans and momentum. In November, Tellico completed a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising almost twice their projected funds toward a debut album

Here the band perfumes three songs for Acoustic Asheville. Recorded at Asheville Area Arts Council in the Grove Arcade; filmed by Jesse Hamm.

“Ever What They Say”

“Forsaken Winds”
