Peter Karp is first and foremost a rock/blues/Americana musician, but he’s got a story to tell, as well. His songs are infused with a genuine candor and realness to go along with the occasional dash of humor.
Karp released his latest album, Blue Flame, in February and it features notable guest appearances from Kim Wilson (The Fabulous Thunderbirds) and Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones), and showcases some power-rock blues with his backing band.
In town recently at Highland Brewing Co. for a tour stop, Karp gave a rare solo performance for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville. The four-song set is featured below.
“Train O’ Mine”
“Round and Around”
