Jonathan “Jelly” Ellington may make his home in Austin, Tex., these days, but he’s got Asheville in him through and through. He was born and raised locally and has played stages big and small all over the region. His signature soulful vocals and raw guitar sound have helped him carve a niche.
Ellington was back in town recently to promote his latest record, All In, at the Ellington Underground (owned by Jelly’s brother, Andrew Ellington). Before he hit the stage, he gave an exclusive performance of four songs from the new record.
