At it’s core, Bygone Blues is the duo of singer Peggy Ratusz and pianist Aaron Price. The pair have shared a passion for vintage blues and jazz and work to keep that sound alive today. They were quarter-finalists in the International Blues Challenge in 2017 in a competition against hundreds of other bands.
On occasion, they are joined by Jonathan Pearlman on guitar and Grant Cuthbertson on upright bass. It’s not unusual to catch the band as a duo, trio, or a quartet depending on the night.
Recently they performed as a quartet in an exclusive performance at The Grey Eagle for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville.
