For the month of September, Acoustic Asheville is spotlighting artists on the bill for Asheville Barnaroo. The festival takes place Friday-Sunday, Sept. 28-30 at Franny’s Farm in Leicester and will benefit Asheville Music School.
The first artist on the bill to be featured here is local singer-songwriter Aaron Burdett. He’s released seven albums over the last 13 years and has built a following as his sound crossed a variety of genres. His style lends itself to folk but also delves into country, bluegrass and blues. He combines that with songwriting that feels more like storytelling.
Burdett recently gave a solo performance of five songs at The Grey Eagle in advance of his full band set on Friday, Sept. 28, at Barnaroo.
