Don’t be alarmed by Posana’s image: the restaurant isn’t closing — at least, not permanently. Over the past week, it’s taken a break for renovations.
“We have people sticking their heads in the door asking what’s going on and what happened to Posana, I guess out of curiosity and concern, which is really nice,” says chef and owner Peter Pollay.
The restaurant will get modern upgrades, including new floors, a longer bar and more intimate seating. Pollay plans to create three separate dining areas. “It won’t be a huge open space,” he says. “We’ll have a front section, a middle section and a back section. Each one will have a nice feel to it.”
Since it opened in 2009, Posana has garnered widespread attention for its gluten-free menu. The restaurant serves bar fare and dinner Tuesday through Sunday and brunch on the weekends at 1 Biltmore Ave. For more information, visit posanacafe.com.
