• Who he is: Michael Boyko
• What he’s wearing: A 3/4-length corduroy coat from H&M (“It’s from the ladies’ section,” he reveals), a rust-colored V-neck (a Christmas gift from his mom) over a black button down, and another layer of cord — a three-button blazer he received as a gift from his sister. The piece de resistance: fingerless gloves with skull prints (“I cut the fingers off myself,” he notes, “and my girlfriend sewed on the rhinestones”).
• Why we love it: In a hipster-meets-professor move, Michael combines subdued colors and rich textures with a few edgy accessories for balance.

After waiting years for low-cost T-shirts, jeans and khakis, 2006 promises not one but two Old Navy stores in our area. The first, located at 2 McKenna Road in Arden, opened its doors on Feb. 2. A spokesperson for the company reports that, among other innovations, this Old Navy will stock a women’s plus-sized line — new for the company — featuring clothing up to size 26. And forget frumpy: These full-figured items are allegedly “completely in line with sizes 0-12.”
