Unique hats, outdoor chic and runway-ready fashion — all part of the original designs featured at the Asheville Fashion Week Emerging Model Runway & Ready to Wear Event.
Guests filled the seats and lined the walls of The Altamont Theatre to see the models, provided by Gage Models and Talent Agency, strut fierce summer wear as part of the four-night event. The event showcased work by local designers including Southern Charm, Charmed, Diamond Brand, Tasha Lief, McKinney Gough, Lucy Blue and Scott McFarland.
“You’re really nervous at first, but then you get out there and own it and it’s exhilarating,” says model Emily Ruff. “The designers are awesome too, two of the designers are 16 years old.”
Asheville Fashion Week’s Fashion in Film & Emerging Designer Runway Shows take place Friday, Aug. 7, at The Millroom, 66 Asheland Ave. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.
