Westville Pub was overflowing with locals and dedicated fans looking to kick off 2014 with some foot-stomping Americana from The Honeycutters, one of Asheville’s most well-loved country roots bands. Dressed-down and ready-to-party pub-goers sang along to upbeat and familiar fan-favorites like “Penny.” The band also shared a few new songs from their upcoming album, which will be released later this year.
Frontwoman Amanda Anne Platt’s lyric-driven, storytelling and sometimes heartstring-pulling songs always felt more celebratory than sad, and the band kept the crowd dancing and tapping their feet well past the ball drop and into the new year.
