10 Dartmouth students, 12,000 miles and one coach bus. The Big Green Bus, a student-run initiative to inspire grassroots environmental action, is coming to Asheville. The bus, which runs on waste vegetable oil, serves as both a mobile home and transportation for Dartmouth students who are dedicated to improving the Earth one mile at a time.
The Big Green Bus will stop in Asheville on Monday, June 25 from 6-9 p.m. at the Phil Mechanic Studios. Guest speakers include Gordon Smith of Asheville City Council, Nicholas Pavlis from Dartmouth College and Kymber Owens of Blue Ridge Biofuels. Refreshments (free beer!) will be served, along with live entertainment by Clan Destiny Circus and The Fairview Slow Jam Berry Pickers.
