According to local musician Aaron Price, last year’s Room In the Inn benefit concert raised $1,500 to help A-HOPE’s programs for homeless women in Asheville. This year, A-HOPE and a local all-star cast of musician volunteers hope to up that number to $2,000.
Want to help? $10 gets you in the door. The concert — Sunday, Feb. 25; 4 p.m. at the West Asheville Presbyterian Church at 690 Haywood Rd. — features Price along with fiddler Cary Fridley, harmony trio the Muses, singer-songwriter Malcolm Holcombe, Appalachian musicians the Barrel House Mamas, percussionist River Guerguerian, folk duo the Grit Pixies, singer-songwriter Kellin Watson, rocker Woody Wood, Jim Gardner, Tara Dupy and Steve Johnson.
