Snake Oil Medicine Show is a piece of Asheville art and music history. The band, originally formed in Boone, coined the term “slam grass,” brought live painting to the stage and made crazy, over-the-top colorful costumes into every-day wear. That, and they’re pretty much the soundtrack to unbridled fun.
Here, you can watch the band perform at this year’s Mardi Gras Ball:
And on Friday, April 13, you can catch them live at Pisgah Brewing. Doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m. Food from Rollin’ Stone Pizza. $10 day of show.
Xpress will give away a pair of tickets to this show on Thursday, in the noon hour, on Facebook.
