Last September (that’s 2010), Dup Crosson (aka St. Solitude) was packing up his things and planning to move away from Asheville. His farewell show took place at the LAB — coincidentally the place where he’ll hold his CD Release Hootenanny! for new album, By Some Great Storm. That show takes place this Saturday, Oct. 1. Which means Crosson isn’t gone from Asheville at all, but very much here. Of the album release party he writes, “This will be the first time we’ve played as a quartet too- expect big sounds and new faces, lots of new music.”
The Neapolitan Children (members of Kovacs & the Polar Bear) open. 9:30 p.m., $6 at the door.
Also, stay tuned! Xpress will have a preview video interview with Crosson on Friday.
In the meantime, watch the video for St. Solitude’s “Let’s Try It”:
