Seduction Sideshow (the name says it all)

Performance troupe Seduction Sideshow which (according to its MySpace page) “incorporates burlesque, circus sideshow and vaudeville to produce a menagerie of mind blowing acts,” will present the Corney Island Carnival Sideshow Extravaganza on Saturday, March 20.

Press for the event says, “Our show will draw on Old-school Sideshows including: Siamese twins, Feral Wolf Girl, Coin operated boy and sexy roustabouts and much much more with a tasty amount of sexy tease.” It’s a classic Sideshow remade with a modern Coney Island twist. Plus fortune tellers, puppets and a cabinet of curiosities.

Opening acts include everybody’s favorite mermaid, Britta Filter, and This way to the Egress, an electro-acoustic act from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, performs.

Club 828 (64 Carter St., Asheville, 252-2001). 9 p.m., $12 advance at Club 828 online / $15 at the door.
