Roots + Wings School of Art offers an Asheville Art Retreat Package

Roots + Wings School of Art is no mere after-school program or figure drawing tutorial. Well, in a way it’s both of those, and it’s more, too. “RWSA is home to the only visual arts preschool in the area and is now reaching out about Custom Art Studio Sessions,” says a press release.

The website explains, “Hosting a visitor that wants a unique Asheville experience?  Or, have you and your friends and family ever wanted to work one-on-one in a River Arts District studio with a professional visual artist?  Here’s your chance.

“Roots + Wings School of Art supports studio sessions with our rostered visual artists in our River Arts District studio on Depot Street at Pink Dog Creative.  Unlike group art classes, with Custom Art Studio Sessions, participants work collaboratively with one of our rostered visual artists exploring tools and techniques, making color and material choices, and sharing in the process of art-making together.”

RWSA was conceived of by local artist, mom and entrepreneur Ginger Huebner. Recently settled into the River Arts District, RWSA is developing an Asheville Art Retreat Package for visitors who would like to experience the school through custom studio sessions. (Meals at Corner Kitchen and then overnight stays at the Biltmore Village Inn can be included.)
