We’re grateful to have Ursula Gullow writing about art for Xpress. The talented blogger, teacher and painter has a new show, called Relics, up at N.C. Stage. There’s a reception tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the show will be up until May 5 (N.C. Stage is open during regular business hours).
“I decided to paint some of the objects of my habitat as a type of self-portrait,” writes Gullow on her blog. “The mundane, the mass-produced, the imported, the functional and the ubiquitous.”
Expect charming oil paintings rendered with the color, movement and vibrancy for which Gullow is known. We highly recommend you check it out.
