Traveling band Auxiliary House, which visits Asheville early next week, is worth planning ahead for. The Chapel Hill-based collective is going green for their summer tour, packing all 12 members onto a 44-passenger bus that’s tricked out to run on vegetable oil.
According to a press release from the group, “The Auxiliary House ethos is to make their live show a communal and interactive experience for both the audience and band.”
Players include Martin Anderson, Bobby Britt, Clare Connolly, Ross Connolly, Wil Donegan, Will Hackney, Dylan Jarrell, Josh Kimbrough, Jon Mackey, Emma Nadeau and Neel-Gopal Sharma. The experience: “performances often evolve into a series of percussion jams, campfire sing-a-longs and orchestral washes.”
Catch the show at The New French Bar (12 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, 225-6445) on Monday, July 23, and Tuesday, July 24.
