Pining away

Local viper jazz/ragtime/country blues artist Woody Pines has been keeping plenty busy. What with working on his new album (details soon!) and driving a race car for the video that accompanies his song, “You Gotta Roll”:

Okay, so maybe Pines didn’t actually time-travel back to the 1940s to take a spin around the track. He still makes retro sound all fresh on his recent EP, You Gotta Roll. And he’ll do it again, live at his Jack of the Wood show this Saturday, Dec. 15. 9 p.m., $8.
