Is there a better way to spend your Saturday then listening to live music, snacking on kettle corn and delicious pastries and strolling down a neighborhood street lined with booths and colorful arts and crafts by Asheville-area artists? The Montford Music and Arts Festival, held on Montford Avenue between Cullowhee and Waneta Street, features all this and more, with live music performed throughout the day until 7 p.m. Come join the fun!

1 p.m.: Country-western swing music by Vollie McKenzie and Roger Bellow.
2 p.m.: Rock ‘n’ roll with the Hurt Mountain Boys.
3 p.m.: Roots-reggae and funk with the Pure Fiyah Reggae Band.
4 p.m.: Brit-Pop/radio rock with The Cheeksters.
5 p.m.: High-energy blues with WestSound.
6 p.m.: “Rockin’ boogie woogie” and folk with The Screaming J’s.
