Mark your calendars for Avetts and Lewis Black

So these bits are unrelated, except that they’re coming in December so mark your calendars:

• The Avett Brothers will be playing three nights at the Orange Peel: Dec. 26, 27 and 28. Last year, the punk-folk-roots group sold out two nights at the venue, so this year they’ve added a third date. For more info, check out the Avetts site and the Orange Peel site.

• Warren Haynes and Laugh Your Asheville Off are planning an all-star lineup for their first ever Christmas Comedy Jam (part of the two-night Xmas Jam). Lewis Black will be there. The rest of the lineup for the Dec. 12th event at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium is expected to be officially announced soon. Xpress will post more details as soon as we get ‘em.
