Journeyman, a documentary film that looks at the cultural phenomena of at risk youth, is set to screen at the Asheville Pizza & Brewing Company on Saturday, March 7.
The 10:30 a.m. showing will be the film’s N.C. premier. According to press, it “follows Joe and Mike, two teenage boys in need of a strong male presence in their lives. After their struggles with depression and violence, they join the Boys to Men mentoring program. As they work with male mentors, they face a challenging initiation, discover their inner strength and learn to engage a community of supportive men.”
A discussion follows the hour-long film, along with a chance to learn more about Journeymen Asheville. More information about the local organization can be found at an open house, to be held at the Greenlife Community Center on Saturday, March 21, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
